These terms describe, in plain language, the rules for using YazidiBooks, an educational app for exploring Yazidi culture through books, quizzes, vocabulary and hymns. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. The terms are currently available in English only.
Acceptance of these terms
Using YazidiBooks means you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
The service
YazidiBooks is a free educational app offering books, quizzes, vocabulary training, hymns and a cultural calendar. The available content and features may change over time as the library grows and the app improves.
Your account
Keep your account information accurate and your sign-in credentials safe. One account per person. Student accounts are created and managed by teachers. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Acceptable use
The app is provided for personal, non-commercial learning. Do not scrape or copy the content library, disrupt or overload the service, attempt to access other users’ data, or use the app for anything unlawful.
Content and ownership
Books, hymns, quizzes, vocabulary and other materials in the app belong to YazidiBooks or their respective rights holders. They are provided for personal study only and may not be redistributed, republished or sold.
Points and achievements
Points, achievements, streaks and badges are for motivation only. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred or redeemed, and may be recalculated if a bug or error is corrected.
Classes and teachers
Joining a class with a class code shares your name and class progress with that teacher. Teacher accounts are granted on request and may be revoked if they are misused.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Profile, using Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost data or interruptions of the service.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will let you know in the app.
